Has anyone here used jute rugs in a humid home?

I've been wondering about this for a while because I redid my living room about three months ago and ended up buying a handwoven jute rug from a website that specializes in natural jute rugs. Honestly, I really like how it looks. The texture feels great underfoot, and it fits perfectly with the rest of the room (light wood furniture and off-white walls).
The only issue is that my floors tend to stay a bit cool, and I've noticed the rug seems to hold a little moisture in certain spots, especially in the morning. There's no mold or mildew so far, but it still makes me wonder if it's going to become a problem over time.
I've read completely mixed opinions online. Some people say you should always use a breathable rug pad underneath to improve airflow, while others claim that natural jute is breathable enough on its own and doesn't need anything extra.

Has anyone here had experience with this? Do you lay your jute rug directly on tile, or do you put something underneath it?
